Slope progress (i.e. slow progress)! This blue plumbago and Mexican lavender will be accompanied by gold and lavender lantana...if they survive the caterpillars! Below, the red banana has grown about 2 feet this season!

Gardening is one of my outlets. When I clear a space, amend and enrich the soil, plant or sow seeds, fertilize,and see the results, it satisfies my urge to beautify my space. Sometimes it works, and other times...we'll just call it experimentation! I am reading a book that my mother gave me called Creating Eden by Marilyn Barrett, Ph.D. Doctor Barrett uses the garden as her "healing space". It is very insightful and creatively written.

ooooh. Pretty! I have no idea what half of those plants are, but they look awesome! That red one is really pretty.
Thanks! It's a mandevilla. Typically it likes to vine or hang from a planter, but it really likes the spot I have placed it on the side of the house.
